Before an interview, Claude researches the company and role, reads your Storybank, and gives you a one-screen brief with likely questions and which of your stories to use for each.

## What Claude gathers

1. **The basics.** Company, role, date and interviewer. If your calendar is connected to Claude, it reads the event for the time and attendees. It only asks for what's still missing.
2. **Company research.** CareerMax researches the company and role: what they do, culture, recent news, the interview process and likely questions. This uses 5 credits. Claude mentions the cost before it runs, and a retry isn't charged twice.
3. **Your stories.** Claude reads your [Storybank](https://careermax.ai/docs/storybank) and, if you applied through CareerMax, the job posting.
4. **Your interviewer.** If you share a name, Claude can look up their public professional background. Nothing personal.

## Your brief

It fits on one screen:

1. **The company in 60 seconds:** what they do, their stage and recent news that matters for this role.
2. **What they'll probe:** three themes from the job and the research.
3. **Likely questions:** six to eight, each paired with your best story by title, or "No story yet" where you have a gap.
4. **Your angles:** three places where your background is a strong match.
5. **Ask them:** three sharp questions tied to the research.
6. **Logistics:** time, format and people, when known.

Then Claude offers one next step: build a missing story, or tighten an answer together.
