Claude asks about moments from your past work and turns your answers into STAR stories saved to CareerMax, ready for applications and interviews. It collects stories; it isn't a mock interview.

## Start

> Build my Storybank

Building your Storybank in Claude doesn't use credits.

## How it works

1. Claude reads the stories you already have and your résumé, so it doesn't repeat anything.
2. It picks a gap and asks about a real moment from your résumé, such as "At Stripe you led the ledger migration. What was the hardest call you made?"
3. It asks one question at a time and follows up for what makes a story usable: the situation, what you did yourself, the numbers or outcome, and what you'd do differently.
4. It drafts the story in your voice, in STAR order (situation, task, action, result), in under 200 words, with a practice question it answers.
5. You edit it in the chat. Claude saves it to your Storybank only when you approve.

Aim for 5 to 8 stories across different themes: impact, leadership or influence, conflict, failure and what you learned, delivering under constraints, a technical or analytical challenge, and customer impact. Stop whenever you like. Everything you've saved stays.

Claude doesn't embellish. If a number is fuzzy, it asks or leaves it out.

## Where your stories show up

- [Help me prepare](https://careermax.ai/docs/help-me-prepare) pairs likely interview questions with your best story for each.
- CareerMax can draw on them when an application asks an open-ended question.
- They're in the Storybank in the CareerMax app too, where you can edit them.
