Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: August 11, 2026

1. Scope and Agreement

This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to subscriptions, credit packs, and other paid features offered through CareerMax by Ramen Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("CareerMax," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").

This Policy supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Service solely concerning a cancellation or refund, this Policy controls, subject to applicable law and any terms of the merchant of record, app marketplace, payment provider, or other seller of record that processed the transaction.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge the price, currency, billing interval, renewal terms, included features or credits, and other material terms presented at checkout. Nothing in this Policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Payment Providers and Sellers of Record

Purchases may be processed by CareerMax, a third-party payment processor, an app marketplace, or a merchant of record. The entity identified as the seller or merchant of record on your checkout, receipt, invoice, or billing statement may be responsible for collecting payment, taxes, issuing receipts, processing refunds, handling payment disputes, and providing transaction support.

Your transaction may also be subject to that provider's buyer terms, refund policy, cancellation process, payment-method rules, and mandatory consumer protections. Where those terms grant you additional rights, the greater protection applies. We may share information reasonably necessary to investigate and process your request with the applicable provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Subscription Renewals

Paid subscriptions may renew automatically at the billing interval and price disclosed at checkout unless canceled before the next renewal is processed. By starting a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable seller of record or payment provider to charge your selected payment method for each renewal, including applicable taxes and fees, until the subscription is canceled.

We may change plan prices, features, credit allocations, or billing terms as permitted by the Terms of Service and applicable law. Where advance notice or renewed consent is required, we or the applicable billing provider will provide it before the change takes effect.

4. How to Cancel

You may cancel a subscription at any time using the cancellation controls made available in your CareerMax account, billing portal, app marketplace subscription settings, merchant-of-record portal, or another cancellation method identified in your receipt or purchase confirmation.

If the applicable cancellation controls are unavailable or do not work, contact us promptly at hey@careermax.ai from the email address associated with your account and include enough transaction information for us to locate the purchase. Do not send your full payment card number, account password, authentication code, or other sensitive credentials.

A valid cancellation prevents future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and you may continue using included features until then. Cancellation does not automatically reverse or refund a charge that has already been completed.

Deleting the app, uninstalling a browser extension, ceasing use of the Service, deleting an account, or allowing a payment method to expire does not by itself cancel a subscription. You must use an available cancellation method or contact us as described above.

5. General Refund Rule

Except where required by applicable law, expressly stated at checkout, granted by the applicable seller of record or payment provider, or approved by us under this Policy, completed purchases are final and non-refundable.

We generally do not provide partial, prorated, retroactive, or automatic refunds for unused time, unused features, unused or expired credits, a failure to cancel before renewal, account inactivity, dissatisfaction with an AI-generated output, changes in personal circumstances, or a decision not to use the Service. Promotional credits, free credits, trial access, and other no-charge benefits have no cash value and are not refundable or exchangeable.

The Service uses third-party systems and artificial intelligence, and individual results may vary. A result that is imperfect, requires user review, or does not produce a desired career outcome does not by itself make a purchase eligible for a refund. This does not limit remedies that apply when a paid digital service is materially defective, unavailable, or not as described under applicable law.

6. Requests We May Review

We may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis, including requests involving a duplicate charge, an unauthorized transaction, a confirmed billing error, a material technical failure that prevented access to a paid feature, or another exceptional circumstance. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.

In reviewing a request, we or the applicable seller of record may consider the transaction date, reason for the request, account and transaction history, extent of use or consumption, credits used, whether the issue could be resolved, evidence of a defect or billing error, applicable law, and payment-provider rules. We may approve a full or partial refund, provide a service credit or extension, correct the charge, or deny the request, to the extent permitted by law.

Any discretionary refund, credit, extension, or other accommodation is voluntary, does not create an obligation to provide the same remedy in the future, and does not waive any right or remedy available to CareerMax.

7. Billing Errors, Duplicate Charges, and Unauthorized Transactions

Review your receipt and billing statement promptly. If you believe a charge is incorrect, duplicated, or unauthorized, contact us at hey@careermax.ai as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 30 days after the charge, so that we can investigate while relevant records are readily available. This requested reporting period does not shorten any non-waivable legal, card-network, or payment-provider right.

Include the email address associated with your CareerMax account, transaction or receipt identifier, date, amount, currency, and a concise explanation. We may request reasonable information necessary to verify your identity, account ownership, and the transaction. You should also secure your account and contact your bank or payment provider promptly if you suspect payment-method theft or account compromise.

8. App Marketplace and Third-Party Purchases

Purchases made through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app marketplace or third-party seller are generally billed and controlled by that provider. Cancellation and refund requests for those purchases must normally be submitted through the provider's account settings or support process, and CareerMax may be unable to issue a refund directly for a transaction it did not process.

The provider's terms and refund rules apply in addition to this Policy. We will provide reasonable product or transaction information when needed to help the provider evaluate a legitimate request, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

9. Refund Method, Timing, and Effect

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method and processed by the seller of record or payment provider. Processing and posting times vary by provider, payment method, financial institution, currency, and jurisdiction. We cannot guarantee when your bank or payment provider will make the funds available.

Unless required by law, refunds will not be paid in cash, sent to a different payment method, or transferred to another person or account. Currency conversion differences, bank charges, and third-party fees outside our control may affect the amount ultimately shown by your financial institution.

If a purchase is refunded, we or the applicable provider may immediately end access to the refunded subscription or feature and may revoke, reverse, or deduct credits, benefits, discounts, or other value associated with that purchase. You must stop using any refunded paid entitlement.

10. Trials and Promotions

A free or discounted trial may convert to a paid subscription on the date and at the price disclosed when you enroll. To avoid the first charge, you must cancel using an available cancellation method before the trial or promotional period ends, unless applicable law or the terms presented at enrollment provide otherwise.

Trial eligibility, duration, included features, and promotional terms may be limited by account, person, payment method, device, geography, or offer. We may revoke or deny a trial, promotion, refund, or credit where we reasonably identify fraud, manipulation, duplicate enrollment, or abuse, subject to applicable law.

11. Chargebacks, Payment Disputes, Fraud, and Abuse

We encourage you to contact us or the applicable seller of record before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve legitimate concerns. Nothing in this Policy limits your lawful right to dispute a charge with your bank, card issuer, payment provider, regulator, or other authorized body.

If a chargeback, payment reversal, refund, or suspected fraud relates to a purchase, access to the corresponding subscription, credits, or paid features may be suspended or revoked while the matter is reviewed. We and our providers may submit transaction records, account activity, purchase disclosures, cancellation records, communications, and other relevant evidence in response to a dispute, consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Fraudulent transactions, false claims, refund abuse, repeated chargeback abuse, manipulation of trials or promotions, or attempts to retain refunded benefits may result in denial of discretionary relief, restriction or termination of the account, revocation of credits, and other action permitted by the Terms of Service and applicable law.

12. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction may give you cancellation, withdrawal, refund, repair, price-reduction, or other rights that cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Those mandatory rights apply regardless of anything stated in this Policy.

Where applicable law provides a cooling-off or withdrawal period for a digital service or digital content purchase, you may exercise that right within the legally prescribed period. Applicable law may permit the right to be reduced or lost after immediate performance or delivery begins only where you expressly request or consent to immediate supply and provide any legally required acknowledgment. We will rely on such a waiver only to the extent it was validly obtained and is enforceable.

If a paid digital service is materially defective, unavailable, not supplied, or not as described, contact us so we can investigate and, where appropriate, restore access, correct the issue, provide a replacement or service credit, reduce the price, terminate the affected purchase, or issue a refund as required by applicable law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the "Last Updated" date, posting a notice in the Service, sending an email, or using another reasonable method.

Unless a change is required by law or gives you greater protection, the version of this Policy in effect when a completed purchase was made will generally govern that purchase. Updated terms apply prospectively to later purchases and renewals after they become effective.
