Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

1. What may count as consumer health data

Depending on what you choose to enter, this can include information about disability, medical or mental-health conditions, treatment, diagnosis, reproductive or sexual health, gender-affirming care, biometric or genetic information, or attempts to obtain health care. It can also include precise location or other information that a covered law treats as health-related in context.

CareerMax does not ask for health information as a condition of ordinary job search, resume editing, interview practice or profile publishing. You decide whether to include an optional sensitive answer in an application, profile or feature. Do not provide another person's information unless you have authority to do so.

2. Sources and purposes

We may receive sensitive information directly from you, from a document or answer you select, from an employer form you authorize us to complete, or from a provider you direct us to connect. We use it only as needed to perform the feature you request, including:

• drafting or reviewing an application or career material;
• answering an employer form under your application authority;
• providing AI assistance, practice feedback or support you request;
• sending an authorized application to its employer or ATS;
• security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and legal compliance.

We do not use consumer health data to sell advertising, select sponsored job placements, make an employment decision, or train model weights. We do not sell consumer health data.

3. Sharing and recipients

We share sensitive information only when needed for the requested feature, with your authorization where required, or for a lawful operational, security or legal purpose. Depending on the feature, recipients may include:

• CareerMax's hosting, database, authentication and email providers;
• AI, voice, research, remote-browser and application providers described in the Privacy Policy;
• the employer, ATS or other recipient selected by you for an authorized application; and
• advisers, authorities or a successor where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

A provider receives the context needed for its function and may operate under its own notice and contract. For Auto Apply, the application workflow can send relevant candidate information and selected answers with form context to providers that interpret or resolve the employer form. 4. Consent and choices

We show a feature notice and request affirmative permission before a consent-dependent AI or sensitive-data use. You can skip an optional sensitive question, decline a feature or withdraw permission for new processing by using the available control or contacting hey@careermax.ai. Withdrawal does not recall information already sent or delete records automatically. It may prevent a feature from working when the information is necessary for that feature.

Employer forms can have their own required questions and notices. CareerMax submits an answer only within the application authority and review settings you choose. An employer may retain and use the answer under its own privacy notice.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain sensitive information while needed for the account or feature, to complete an authorized application, provide support, secure the service, resolve a dispute or satisfy a legal obligation. Provider, backup and employer copies can follow their own retention periods. The Privacy Policy explains account deletion, operational records and the limits of recalling information already delivered.

You can delete your account through Settings → Account → Delete account, or contact us to request deletion or a more targeted correction. Deleting your account does not delete an employer's copy or cancel an Apple subscription.

6. Requests and appeals

Where applicable law gives you rights to confirm collection, access, delete, correct or withdraw consent for consumer health data, email hey@careermax.ai. Tell us that your request concerns consumer health data and include the account or feature involved. We may verify your identity and authority before responding.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny a request where an appeal is available, reply to the decision using the same contact and identify the denied request. We will review the appeal and provide the result and any further route required by law.
