CareerMax skill + MCP toolkit
Use CareerMax with OpenClaw
Bring your CareerMax pipeline, resume feedback, interview preparation, referral research, and learning tools into OpenClaw with confirmed pipeline updates and interview links.
Paste this into your agent
Please connect CareerMax to OpenClaw. Install the CareerMax skill, run `npx -y @careermax/agent-toolkit auth login`, walk me through browser authentication, then run `npx -y @careermax/agent-toolkit auth check`. Configure the CareerMax MCP server with `npx -y @careermax/agent-toolkit mcp`, then verify with "show my CareerMax pipeline."
npx -y @careermax/agent-toolkit auth loginWhat works today
The public toolkit is useful now, and the list below is deliberately narrower than the CareerMax dashboard.
- Read your profile, resume, job pipeline, interview history, and saved research.
- Review resume text, draft cover letters, research companies, find potential referrals, and create learning material.
- Add or update pipeline records after CareerMax shows the exact lasting change and you confirm it.
- Create an interview-practice link after reviewing the role, company, mode, and duration.
Designed to ask before it changes things
Read-only requests proceed directly. Before a lasting pipeline change, CareerMax returns the exact details and a short-lived confirmation receipt. The receipt only works for that account, agent key, and unchanged request.
Connect safely
- 1Install the CareerMax skill, then run browser login on the same machine as the toolkit.
- 2Configure the MCP server with npx -y @careermax/agent-toolkit mcp.
- 3Start with a read-only request such as “show my pipeline” before asking OpenClaw to update the pipeline or create an interview link.
- 4Use CAREERMAX_API_KEY only as a fallback when browser login or local credential storage is not available.
Current boundaries
- CareerMax does not expose auto-apply to general AI agents.
- Job search, profile editing, Career Coach actions, professional photos, and tailored PDF delivery are not yet available through the public agent toolkit.
- Agent API keys are separate from extension keys and can be revoked from CareerMax Settings.
- Credits are explained when you ask or when an insufficient balance blocks a request, not in every response.
